Hand sanitizer packaging label sterilization, disinfection, anti-bacterial, antibacterial and other words, can be roughly divided into “can kill bacteria” and “can not kill bacteria, but can prevent bacteria breeding and reproduction” two categories. “can kill bacteria” is sterilization, disinfection, “can not kill bacteria, but can prevent bacteria breeding and reproduction” is antibacterial and bacteriostasis.
In accordance with the technical specifications for disinfection promulgated in 2003:
1. Disinfect
To kill or remove pathogenic microorganisms from the media so that they can be treated harmlessly. The requirement of disinfection is that the logarithm of disinfection ≥5(equal to the sterilization rate greater than 99.999%) in order to evaluate the qualification of disinfection
2. Sterilization
The process of killing or removing all microorganisms from the media. The requirement of sterilization is that the sterilization rate should be ≥99.9999% .
3. Antibacterial
The process of killing or inhibiting the growth, reproduction, and activity of bacteria by chemical or physical methods. The requirement of antibacterial is that the bactericidal rate ≥90% can evaluate the antibacterial effect, and the bactericidal rate ≥99% can be judged as stronger antibacterial effect.
4.Bacteriostasis
The process of inhibiting or impeding the growth, reproduction, and activity of bacteria by chemical or physical means. The bacteriostatic rate ≥50% ~ 90% , and the bacteriostatic rate ≥90% , have strong bacteriostatic
